Hey BeWell!

They are both good as salts and sugars have different properties besides the exfoliating that are good for the skin. Depending on the quality of the salt used (and the shape of the crystals) you may not get the burning. I have tried some salt ones that burned me. So I stick to sugar. And brown sugar is even better as the molasses is a humectant and anti fungal.
