So it’s autumn, and it is already getting cold here. I’m thinking of all the goodies that I want to bake and hibernating! Summer is over! 🙁
The one thing that I do like about colder weather are the rich colours and luxe fabrics and this season purple and oxblood are the stars!
So Zoya has 3 colour collections for their fall offering. The Fall collection has been inspired by the runways and designers at NYFW and some of these shades are really, off the runway! Here is the Gloss Collection.
Zoya Gloss Collection
Three nail polishes, that are all glossy, sheer jellies that are buildable in coverage. An very interesting texture.
Katherine
Katherine – described as an eggplant shiny gloss, with no shimmer. This is pretty spot one for aubergine. It’s very see though and I don’t think that this well ever become opaque. This colour was also specially created for the designer Peter Som. Beautiful dark colour. In low light, it may actually look black.
Paloma
Paloma – described as a berry red shiny gloss, no shimmer. A very nice colour for the upcoming Christmas holidays. This colour is the brightest of the bunch, but it is not super bright or anything, still very rich.
Frida
Frida – a sheer teal shiny gloss, with no shimmer. Glad to see a blue/green colour featured.
All three of these colours are very, sheer even after multiple coats. The texture is smooth and not too thick. I personally would not wear these by themselves, I like a little more excitement, but these would be great for layering different textures and patterns. I would sandwich a glitter or some nail art between two layers of gloss polish. It’s like having patterns embedded on your nails!
Are these polishes absolutely necessary? No, but you could come up with some fun nail designs with these.
All Zoya polishes are available online at zoya.com and they cost US$8 each. They also ship internationally and are great for expecting mothers with their Big 5 Free formulas!
