Laura Mercier Très Chic collection c’est chic!

Bonjour! Ça va?

This is my first review of Laura Mercier products.   I was instantly attracted to the beautiful, bold, punchy colours.  The Très Chic collection is a limited edition, spring nail collection consisting of 5 colours that range from pastel to bright.

I picked up the two that I thought were going to be my favourites and I love them!!   The polishes are contained in short, square bottles and are slightly smaller than the typical nail polish – 0.35 fl. oz. (10.35 ml) vs. 0.5 fl. oz. (15 ml) and they cost US$18 each.   So the price is a little costly.  The brush is short, and not like the Pro-Wides that you get with OPI.  For those with long nail beds, you may have to use more strokes than you normally would.  The formula is a little on the thin side, but smooth.  I used 2 coats in the swatches, but I could have done with an additional one.  Drying time is pretty fast.  The formula is good, and standard for what is out there.  They are also Big 3 free.

Onto the swatches!

The first one I picked up is Cabana.

Laura Mercier Nail Lacquer in Cabana

Cabana

Swatch, Cabana

I think this was the standout of the collection!!!  A beautiful, bright midtone, coral crème.  It also has a slight milky consistency.  So pretty! My medium to dark skinned ladies, check this one out if you can, it looks amazing on tanned skin.  Great for work and the beach too! I LOVE this one!

Sizzle is just that – a sizzling, fiery, reddish, orange crème.

Laura Mercier Nail Lacquer in Sizzle

Sizzle

Swatch, Sizzle

Another knockout colour!! It’s very, very summery!  A great colour for women of colour especially for those with darker skin! Don’t be afraid of this one, it makes a great pedicure colour.  And I love that there is no shimmer.  The colour speaks for itself!

The other colours in the collection are:

  • Oh La La – a soft, pale pink crème
  • Flamingo – a bright, pink, crème
  • Luscious – a deep, fuchsia crème

Take a look at these.  They are available online at lauramercier.com, and select retailers, Sephora, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Harrods and where ever else Laura Mercier is sold.

Overall Grade: A- (it’s just the price)

Laters!!!
