NARS demos their summer offering + a few swatches!

I recently got to see NARS’ makeup artist Cindy Rodriguez demo a look using products from the NARS summer 2013 and Pierre Hardy collections!

Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eye Liner pencils. Cindy used Barrow Street, a pale mint on the waterline instead of white and made the model eyes pop!! What a great idea!

Can we just stop for a minute to marvel at Cindy??? I need those lashes and those cheekbones in my life!!!

Tolede Satin Lipstick

Tolede is a rosy nude.  The formula is quite creamy and leaves a slight glossy finish.  It is similar to Smashbox’s Primrose Be Legendary Lipstick.  This actually works on dark skin quite nicely. It’s not ashy and I pair this with a brown lipliner.

Paris Follies Larger Than Life Lipgloss

Paris Follies Larger Than Life Lip Gloss  What a pretty colour! Reminds me of the inside of a guava!  A deep pink-coral colour.  This is a non-sticky gloss that goes on sheer on my pigmented lips but can be built up to a medium opacity.  I will be wearing this for summer!!  This is a pretty universal colour.  It will look natural on those with lighter skintones and look like a punchy colour on those with medium to dark skintones.  If you have more pigmented lips, maybe add a touch of concealer to even out the lip prior to applying.  The brush is a tiny, stiff brush. You have to dip the wand back into the tube to get enough product out.  I am not a fan of that, but I love the texture of the gloss.   I did a summer coral look using this gloss that I hope to post soon!
