Dark & Lovely just recently launched their newest haircare line called Au Naturale, for women with natural hair, whether it’s wavy, curly, coily or kinky.  Dark and Lovely has been in the game for….ever, maybe?  I used to use their relaxers way back when!

Anyway, the media event was held at Arena in NYC and hosted by natural hair blogger and author Nikki of Curly Nikki! OMG!! I was really, really excited to meet her! I’ve been reading her blog for years!

Here’s the line!!

Dark & Lovely’s Au Naturale line

It has mango butter so it smells really good, and it does contain mostly naturally based ingredients.

I’m glad about 2 things:

1) That mainstream beauty companies are finally jumping to the haircare needs of women of colour

2) To see so many beautiful amazing naturalistas having fun together!

So here are some more photos from the night.

I love bright flowers!

Ladies getting consultations

As soon as I get more information on the new line, I’ll let you all know.  Oh … and the line is available already at local drugstores and online.
