Marc Jacobs’ Beauty colour collection comes out today!! I will be hunting them down, swatching, ooo-ing and ahhh-ing!! That’s what I am looking forward to this weekend. And some decent weather! Like summer want to quit on me!!!
I have been ultra excited to put my hands on the new full colour collection being brought out by Mr. Jacobs! The Marc Jacobs Beauty collection comes out in the US on August 9, at Sephora stores and I heard that they may also be available at select Marc Jacobs boutiques. They have been teasing us with pictures and Sephora had a 48-hour pre-sale that sold out in mere hours! I love Marc Jacobs design aestetic and based on the price range, it looks like it will be more of a high-end line, akin to Tom Ford, Dior, Guerlain, YSL and Chanel. Check out the website for more sneak peeks!

Summer peach chronicles continue…..
A brand that has been picking up steam here in the US is another Canadian- based company that creates mostly natural lip products. Bite Beauty is found in Sephora and they just opened up a pop-up shop in Soho, where you can get a custom made lip product!
I think that Bite made its first appearance at The Makeup Show NYC this year. I was walking by and I was attracted to the boldly pigmented lip colours. I picked up their High Pigment Pencil with Resveratrol in Zinfandel.
Resveratrol has been a hot ingredient in cosmetics for a few years now. It is found in the skins of the red grape and is touted for it high anti-oxidant properties. This lip pencil also is made from 97% natural ingredients.
The High Pigment Matte Pencil (HPP) comes in matte grey plastic packaging with twist-up function to advance the product inside so there is no need to sharpen.
This season, glossy, brightly pigmented lips are the go-to look! Everyone wants staying power. OCC has added a new product to their lip colour line called Stained Gloss. It’s described as a gloss with the pigment potency of a Lip Tar with a casual glossy finish (from the Sephora site). These have a pigmented translucent, lacquered quality to them.
OCC Stained Gloss!
Here are the swatches (from left to right).
Voyeur, Meta, Jealous, Androgyne, Rhythm Box, New Wave
Definitely check them out, especially if you find the original Lip Tars are a little ‘much’ for you. They retail for US$18 and are available now from OCC’s website, their flagship and from Sephora.
I don’t think there is a brand out there with 40 waterproof eye liners to choose from. There is pretty much a colour to match whatever you are feeling. And they come in a variety of textures, including mattes! I am especially excited to try out some mattes in some more ‘less available’ colours. The best thing is that these creamy liners are waterproof, great for that warm-weather getaway!
Check out the details below….
What’s new: Thirteen (13) brand new shades as well as the addition of fifteen (15) previously exclusive colours.
