The Makeup Show NYC Review!: Blogger Preview

Finally my review of The Makeup Show NYC!! I have been waiting for this event all year!! I attended for the first time last year and it was an amazing experience!!! See my review from last year here and here.

This year I attended as a beauty blogger and I had the honour to attend the Blogger Preview and New Groove event the night before the big show.  I was super excited!!!!!

My Saturday afternoon started in Chelsea in NYC at the Blogger Preview.  This was hosted by celebrity makeup artist James Vincent, who is the Director of Education and Artist Relations for The Makeup Show.

TMS Blogger Preview 2011

I love this guy! His work is amazing and he also works for one of my favourite brands, Make Up For Ever.  The theme of this year’s show focused on improved education for artists.  James introduced us to some of his favourite items as well as some of the brands and products making their debut at TMS NYC.  I love finding out what other makeup artists are in to, you get to learn about a lot of new products and techniques.  Here are some of the items that were mentioned:

Mario Badescu Summer Shine Body Lotion – I have never tried MB stuff before but I cannot wait! It is supposed to give your skin a subtle, natural sheen. The shimmer particles are very fine.

Cinema Secrets Professional Brush Cleaner and Parian Spirit – The gold standards for brush cleansers.

Parian Spirit & Cinema Secrets

Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner – MUFE debuts their waterproof liquid liner collection.  A more detailed review to come!

Kevyn Aucoin Basic White eye pencil – Makeup brand from the great Kevyn Aucoin. You have probably heard many people speak about him, but he truly was one of the greatest makeup artists.  Ahead of his time and his work and philosophy were inspiring.
