Hey!
It’s finally Memorial Day weekend here in the US, and just in time, the weather decides to behave itself and we finally have some sun and some heat in NYC! I have been waiting for this extra day off since the last long weekend, lol! It just so happens that this is a long weekend in Trinbago as they had Corpus Christi and Indian Arrival Day. Also, it is the Spring Bank holiday in the UK. This is a true, true “whey de lime”!
So here are 5 things that I am looking forward to this weekend:
DE LIME LIST – The Memorial Day weekend edition!
1) UEFA Champions League Final – Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid in Milan.
This final is the Madrid derby! There will be a massive parade in Madrid coming up this week, but for which side of town? #HalaMadrid
2) Reunions
I am going to my university Reunions, which I think is rather unique, in that it is a 3-day event. With a parade…and live performances! I can’t wait to see some folks that I have not seen in years! #IvyTiger #BlackIvy #Princeton

3) Brooklyn Academy of Music – DanceAfrica 2016

This is the U.S.’s largest celebration of African dance and I love it! Besides the dance, the people, the food, the music, the vibes….lots to enjoy. You can check it out, and it is great for the kids.
