So New York Fashion Week is over and NARS took the opportunity to test out a new addition to their product line, Radiant Creamy Concealer.

From PR:

BUILDABLE. BLENDABLE. BRILLIANT.

Ideal for all skin types, new NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer boasts a luxuriously smooth texture enriched with hydrating skincare benefits. When applied to camouflage darkness under the eyes and reduce the appearance of redness and skin imperfections, the multi-action formula provides medium to high buildable coverage in a natural, radiant finish with long-lasting results.

A single stroke keeps complexion looking fresh and creaseless all day – going on smoothly and blending easily. Light diffusing technology blurs imperfections and fine lines, and evens skin tone without masking skin’s natural coloring.

Skin glows with new radiance over or under foundation – and looks beautiful even when bare. Perfect as a complement to Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF30 or layered with Sheer Matte & Sheer Glow Foundation.

 Crease-proof. Long-wear. Non-comedogenic. Dermatologist tested. Paraben-free. Alcohol-free. Fragrance-free.

Despite the fact that there is about foot of snow on the ground, the fashion world never stopped!  Here’s the makeup done by Uzo, NARS’ International Lead Makeup Artist, at the Tia Cibani show.

The Inspiration…

“I love the 1920s feel to the collection, the nod to Art Deco, and the inspiration from Man Ray portraiture,” said Uzo. “I wanted a look that celebrated the beauty standard of that era but still keep things fresh and modern by pairing the bold lip with healthy, luminous skin.”

[twitter-follow screen_name=’NoireTropicalB’]

So it’s autumn, and it is already getting cold here.  I’m thinking of all the goodies that I want to bake and hibernating! Summer is over!  🙁

The one thing that I do like about colder weather are the rich colours and luxe fabrics and this season purple and oxblood are the stars!

So Zoya has 3 colour collections for their fall offering.  The Fall collection has been inspired by the runways and designers at NYFW and some of these shades are really, off the runway! Here is the Gloss Collection.

Backstage!! With Venexiana and Mehron at NYFW SS13

Hey!

I was so excited for this amazing opportunity! I was going to observe the madness behind the scenes!! So I hustled to Lincoln Center in the pouring rain to the Venexiana show, on Saturday Sept, 8th.

The makeup was being done by Mehron, which is a professional makeup line, known for their long-wear, theatrical, highly pigmented products.  They are particularly popular amongst professional dancers.  Did you know that Mehron was the brand featured and used in the movie “Black Swan” with Natalie Portman?  I have tried a few of their products and they are amazing and well priced!

Anyway, the show was keyed by the amazing body painter/makeup artist Dani Fonseca.  Venexiana is known for their rock and roll haute couture vibes, expensive fabrics with an edge and the makeup had to suit!  Typically, from what I have seen, makeup on the runway tends to be fairly simple, very neutral on the lid, occasionally a bright lip, but the idea is to not to compete with the clothes, but Kati Stern, the creator of Venexiana, wanted a bold, smoky eye with standout lashes!
