I don’t think there is a brand out there with 40 waterproof eye liners to choose from. There is pretty much a colour to match whatever you are feeling. And they come in a variety of textures, including mattes! I am especially excited to try out some mattes in some more ‘less available’ colours. The best thing is that these creamy liners are waterproof, great for that warm-weather getaway!
Check out the details below….
What’s new: Thirteen (13) brand new shades as well as the addition of fifteen (15) previously exclusive colours.
Urban Decay has created an all matte palette meant to compliment the Naked and Naked2 palettes, the Naked Basics Palette. Lots of people get excited over shimmery colours, but having a good cadre of versatile mattes are super important. By incorporating multiple textures in your look, you could be doing makeup like a pro! I especially like using mattes in the crease as transition colours or to deepen a smoky eye without adding anymore shine. Sometimes I just want a matte look to wear with matte lips.
So I am kinda excited for the new James Bond movie coming out soon featuring Daniel Craig. And Ms. Adele is singing the title song!
So OPI is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Bond franchise with a limited edition holiday collection coming out in October called the Skyfall collection.
From PR,
This holiday season, OPI celebrates the 50th Anniversary of a fellow world icon – James Bond – appearing in Skyfall. Starring Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem, this highly-anticipated twenty-third installment opens in theaters nationwide on November 9, 2012.
Inspired by the film’s blend of glamour and danger, OPI launches Skyfall Collection, featuring twelve limited-edition nail lacquers for Holiday 2012. “OPI is thrilled to work with EON Productions to celebrate 50 years of the style, swagger and mystique associated with Bond 007,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “From metallic and glitter finishes to jewel tones and even a jet black, these lacquers capture the film’s sophisticated and glamorous look.
“Watch for Bérénice Marlohe wearing two Skyfall Collection shades in the film,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “With Skyfall, a rich maroon, painted on top of the nail and GoldenEye, a shimmering gold, painted on the undersides, Marlohe’s luxurious manicure will be the one to try this holiday season.”
There are 12 colours in this collection and there is mix of textures and colours very popular at this time and for the upcoming holiday/fete Noel season!
The collection:
GoldenEye – All eyes will be upon you when you wear this glorious gold.
The Spy Who Loved Me – A red as romantic as the secret agent inside you.
Now that I have been expanding my makeup choices, I am excited to try a few products from Smashbox Cosmetics. I received a few of their products from PR. Smashbox has been on my to-try list for ages. I am a huge fan of lead makeup artist Lori Taylor! They have always had that professional but laid back vibe to them.
Since the advent of High Definition cameras and televisions, more and more companies have been refining their product lines so that makeup and skin could look as life-like and perfect as possible. We used to be able to hide under Standard Definition but HD can easily magnify anything on the skin.
For Fall 2011, Smashbox brought out a line of Photo Op products which are supposed to be long lasting, highly pigmented and to bring the subject on camera to life! A girl can be photographed at anytime and we need to be ready!
I tried the Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Quick Take which contains 3 coordinated shades that are easy to use, and takes the guesswork out of trying to combine shadows. I love the packaging! Black, smooth and semi-matte. It’s simple but very sleek! Not bulky, compact and there’s a little window so you could see the colour without having to open the lid. What’s cute about this is that if you flip to the back and peel the label off, there is scannable code which is linked to a video of Lori Taylor showing you how to create a look. Very cool! Yuh get points for that Smashbox! There are 18 different trios and they vary in textures from matte to frost finishes.
