“Whey de lime” Fridays….the final summer edition!

In about 2 days, fall begins.  While I’m not thrilled at that, I’m already anticipating next year!

I want to post my absolute favourite look of the season, part of my summer peach chronicles.

Featuring Freelove Eye Shadow from Urban Decay! Love!

An all peach/coral look!  It features most of the products that I had in heavy rotation for the past few months!

  • Freelove by Urban Decay on the center of the upper eyelid – a stunning, medium-deep peach, with smooth shimmer and velvety/buttery texture
  • Perversion 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils by Urban Decay on the waterline
  • Cha Cha Façade cheek colour by Face Atelier
  • Paris Follies Larger Than Life Lip Gloss from NARS Cosmetics

What CAN’T you do with 40 eyeliners?? Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils relaunched!

[twitter-follow screen_name=’NoireTropicalB’]

I don’t think there is a brand out there with 40 waterproof eye liners to choose from.  There is pretty much a colour to match whatever you are feeling.  And they come in a variety of textures, including mattes!  I am especially excited to try out some mattes in some more ‘less available’ colours.  The best thing is that these creamy liners are waterproof, great for that warm-weather getaway!

Check out the details below….

What’s new: Thirteen (13) brand new shades as well as the addition of fifteen (15) previously exclusive colours.

Price: US$19 each

Availability: Currently at Sephora, ULTA and select Macy’s stores. Online at urbandecay.com, sephora.com, ulta.com and beauty.com

New product alert: Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, all matte, all day!

The Naked Palette has a new sidekick!

Urban Decay has created an all matte palette meant to compliment the Naked and Naked2 palettes, the Naked Basics Palette.  Lots of people get excited over shimmery colours, but having a good cadre of versatile mattes are super important.  By incorporating multiple textures in your look, you could be doing makeup like a pro! I especially like using mattes in the crease as transition colours or to deepen a smoky eye without adding anymore shine.  Sometimes I just want a matte look to wear with matte lips.

Step-by-step beginner's smoky eye tutorial! – a LOTD!

[twitter-follow screen_name=’NoireTropicalB’]

The one makeup look that everyone always wants to know how to do is the smoky eye.  It’s dramatic, sexy and versatile.  I have created a very basic, beginner’s smoky eye using only 3 colour products.  This is a quick, out-the-door look that can be used as a base and built up as needed.

Here’s the look!

A bronzey smoky eye!

The key to the smoky is blending…blend, blend and blend some more.  You want a smooth transition from one colour to another without any harsh lines.

I used minimal products – Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow Waterproof Eye Shadow Pencil in 22E, M.A.C. Feline Eye Pencil and L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes mascara.  That’s basically it!!

The products!
