Here’s my final installment of ‘So you want to wear makeup…‘, your basic, beginner’s guide to makeup. Lip products are probably the first makeup items that young girls begin wearing. Easy to use, inexpensive and you feel like you are wearing something, even if it’s a colourless product.

Silver smokeys, plum lips and flawless skin. I think it’s breathtaking and sultry!! Also very women of colour friendly!! The model on the left kept the lips subtle with a lavender-silver smokey eye while the model on the right had bold eyes and bold lips. That lip colour is gorgeous and I will definitely have to check that out!!! The collection is currently available online at Lancome. All info courtesy Lancome.

Yesterday M.A.C. brought out a bumper crop of new products, which included the limited edition Alice + Olivia collection, which is really small and selling out fast!!! It’s really small and supposed to be kinda carefree and partylicious.

It is blazin’ hot here in NYC and in keeping with the weather, I have been doing some very subtle looks, just hints of colour. I love my bright, full colour looks, but sometimes a softer look is best. I was inspired by this picture of la dominicana hermosa Zoe Saldana.
