So a few weeks ago, NARS hosted an event at their Bleecker Street location to showcase their fall/autumn 2012 colour collection as well as their new skincare line, NARSskin. I wrote about the details of the skin collection here.

So one brand that has a kind of a sleeper status is Laura Mercier. Professionals have been for years singing the praises of their foundations, including the best-selling Tinted Moisturizer. Most tinted moisturizers aim to give sheer to light coverage, basically just to brighten the complexion and some evening of the skintone.
Laura Mercier just recently released their liquid tinted moisturizer in a convenient compact!
From PR:
Laura’s latest innovation features a lightweight crème formula that gives skin a dewy, natural-looking finish ideal for all skin types. With SPF 20 and a hint of color, this portable compact is perfect for travel and touch ups on the go. It’s a breakthrough for the Flawless Face!
The Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact also boasts:
A lightweight formula that moisturizes and hydrates the skin
Provides sheer to moderate, buildable coverage with a hint of color for a natural look
Long wearing formula (6-8 hours) ideal for active lifestyles
Broad spectrum SPF 20 provides UVA and UVB protection
Visibly evens skintone and softens fine and dry lines
Upon application, skin is brighter, more even-toned, and dark spots and imperfections look visibly diminished.
Features Vitamin C, which has skin brightening properties
Contains the antioxidants Vitamins C and E to help protect skin from environmental elements
So the movie Sparkle debuted in the US a few weeks ago and it stars American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. I never really watched the show, but I think she has a good voice and lately she has been everywhere with her new svelte, healthy body! This is also the last movie done by one of the greatest voices of our time, Ms. Whitney Houston! I still in ah lil shock!
Anyway, so I saw this poster where Jordin Sparks appeared in an ad campaign for the clothing store bebe as a promo for Sparkle.
It was glamorous, without being over the top. It was actually similar to a look that I did on Jannellehere, but with updated technique. This would be a good Labour Day/Carnival look, and it’s actually really simple. A gold glitter. And I used a new method of applying lashes that I picked up at The Makeup Show from artist Johnny LaVoy! I even included a foundation (!), which I never wear, but I was intrigued when I purchased it at the Mehron booth at IMATS NYC earlier this year.
I’m so excited! Just a few days away from the official start of summer! And these new polishes from Zoya are completely on trend! This has been the year of brights when it comes to fashion and beauty and Zoya brought out a 12-piece collection, a mix of texture and colour.
I’ll review the first half of the collection here, Beach.
Hey! So here are some pictures and a few swatches from the launch of the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Spring/Summer collection, The Garden, a mix of pastels and brights.
