One of the most requested looks is the neutral, everyday look. Something that makes you look polished for work. I used my trusty Naked Palette from Urban Decay, but you can use any neutral, close-to-your-skintone colour. I chose shimmery, bronzey makeup, but you could also use champagnes, taupes, pale pinks, whatever works for you!
Last Friday I had the privilegde of attending the launch of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics’ new line of tinted moisturizers called OCC Tint. This event took place at the Wonderland Beauty Parlour in the Meatpacking District. What a great way to start off the weekend, playing with makeup!
OCC continues to expand its OCC Skin product line (they introduced a line of vegan brushes this year) and this time they have focused on lightweight makeup suitable for today’s hi-definition standards.
According to OCC:
OCC Tint, our hand-applied tinted moisturizer boasts an unparalleled amount of adjustable coverage, available in a wide range of ultra-moisturizing shades that look as great in person as they do in close-up on HDTV and in a hi-res digital photograph. This alternative to airbrush application is already a Make-Up Artists’ favorite, recently field-tested by the Artists at OCC during New York and Los Angeles Fashion Week.
So the summer collections keep rolling in! NARS brings together turquoises and guavas for their summer offering.

According to NARS:
The Summer 2011 collection is a range of warm, sophisticated, shimmering shades, punctuated with shots of vivid, nature-defying color. Eyes are washed in icy sea foam, silver-green and frozen turquoise. Lips are infused with mandarin orange gloss and hot pink matte color. The look is finished with nails in bold sunflower yellow or matte opaque white for a modern, edgy effect that’s strictly NARS.
Debuts in US and Canadian stores and counters on 7 April and later on in April internationally. I also think that these are going to be added to the permanent line.

The all-bronze, all-the-time trend is ascending. High and low, Jersey Shore to Jakarta, it’s always sunny somewhere, and “orange” is officially over! M∙A∙C BRONZE EVERYDAY is reflecting the trend to be tan in all seasons, and it’s no accident that our Bronzing innovations are making it all that much more attractive…and easy. Great news: It’s back, for good…Skinsheen Leg Spray the long-wear gel/mousse body makeup that sheers on legs, arms, décolletage for a subtle golden glow. Water resistant three times over. Love your Lustre Drops? They’re back too, for that touch of chic luminosity, an ethereal glow wherever applied. Two new golden shades of Mineralize Skinfinish/Natural plus Mineralize Skinfinish and Bronzing Powders complete the collection, making M∙A∙C all about one-stop Bronzing.
