On March 3rd, M.A.C. is releasing a brand new collection of creme blushes that are being added to their permanent collection. Finally, something that I don’t have to rush out to get!!! I love creme blushes and I can’t wait to swatch these! Great for those with dry skin or who live in a humid climate. These are very similar to the creme blushes that came out with the M.A.C. in Lillyland collection.
There are six very basic, neutral colours to start with. Nothing to bright or bold.
Browsing the MUFE boutique and saw this promo image for their Rock For Ever collection.

Hot, right??? I had to recreate this look. It’s certainly not an everyday look but if you are wearing a black or silver Carnival costume, this would be a stunning look! Add some glitter on the lid or rhinestones and it would be all over!
The Rock For Ever collection was released late last year and is a series of trial-sized mini sets of Aqua pencils, Star Powders, mascara etc. housed in a studded container. Cute. Especially the Best of MUFE collection set.
This features a smoky eye, cut crease and winged liner, and I was up for the challenge!!!
So I had the opportunity to purchase a few items from Sephora at the end of last year and decided to step out of my zone and start building my Make Up For Ever collection. I also was doing kinda poorly on my red lips beauty resolution and wanted to check out the recently released Rouge Artist Intense lipsticks.
First of all, these are amazing lipsticks! Believe the hype! There are 50 colours, and 3 finishes – matte, satin and pearl. Really wide array of colours to choose from. These lipsticks are highly pigmented, long-wearing, and could provide full coverage in one swipe.
I made a beeline to the reds in the collection and tried a few of them and settled for #43 Moulin Rouge. It’s a limited edition colour that is described by Sephora as “a vibrant red’. It has a satin finish which is not matte but not high gloss either. Yes this is a bright, bold red but not too blue-toned or orange-toned, pretty neutral. This is surprisingly, actually a really great red! A red for women of colour! I think that this would work on a wide variety of skin tones, from pale, light, tan, olive to dark. Black, Latina, Middle Eastern, Indian and any other combination!
So I am finally getting around to using one of the new Makeup For Ever Metal Effect Powders in #2, Maize Gold. Brilliant burnished golden powder. I had no problems using this colour. Intense pigmentation, finely milled, easy to use. I paired it with one of the few matte pigments that I have, M.A.C. Smoke Signal from the Smoke Signals collection. It’s a deep, burgundy, shimmer-free colour. Quite original.
