Today I am reviewing a product that is new to me from the Camille Rose Coconut Water line. It is the Camille Rose Style Setter Hydrating Creme Deluxe.
I have heard about the Camille Rose Naturals line for a long time, but I was attracted to the idea of using coconut water for hydration. Coconut water has been used in tropical climates for years.Coconut water has been used for hydration in the tropics for years.... Click To Tweet
The Style Setter is described as having superior hydrating, thirst quenching coconut water and aloe vera juice combined with tropical butters to deeply penetrate and provide maximum moisture and shine. This is an all-natural product, with a short ingredient list that also includes coconut oil, and a number of fruit extracts. It’s a white cream that melts easily into the hands and hair without feeling greasy. It also has a light coconut scent, but a real coconut scent that is not overpowering or prominent.
I actually created a video review on this product. Check it out below, but I have some additional thoughts on the product.
In short, I love this product! It is definitely one of the better hydrating products for those with curly/coily/kinky hair. It may be too heavy of a products for those with straighter strands. Camille Rose recommends using it on wet or damp hair for Wash n gos or twists and it provides light hold and deep hydration. I use it on my twists both while they are damp or also a few days later while they are dry. It never made my hair feel weighed down and kept my hair very soft, gave me an amazing, shiny, defined twist out even even after two weeks. My hair felt really wonderful! If I had to compare it to my holy grail, Oyin’s boing, it has a thinner (but not thin) consistency and slightly less hold. But it still does a great job and providing that moisture that I need. This is going into my permanent rotation of products.
WHERE CAN YOU GET IT
This product as well as the rest of the Camille Rose line is available at Target, Whole Foods, local beauty supply stores and online. I paid about $16 for an 8 oz. jar.
Overall Grade: A
I love it and it is definitely a must.
