My 100th Post!!!! Celebrating with a simple LOTD!

Yay!!!

Celebrating with something that was one of my original plans for the blog, a LOTD.  I have not done one of these in a while, but small ting!!

Anyway, I think after purples, blues are my next favourite colour to use.  I think blue on bronze or deeper skin, especially with dark brown eyes makes your eyes pops!  Jewel toned and deep blues look best on the darkest skintones, while brighter blues (especially mixed with greens) look better on fairer and more tanned skin.

This look is really easy, two eye shadows, one brush.  Simple.

Here it goes……..

  • TFSI
  • M.A.C. eyeshadow in Birds & Berries (or any greenish blue shadow, like Blue Green pigment)
  • M.A.C. eyeshadow in Contrast (or any dark blue/navy shadow)
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide Liner in Zero (any black)
  • Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara in Very Black
  • M.A.C. 224 fluffy shader brush

The How-To…

  1. Apply TFSI all over the lid and blend upwards
  2. Using 224, apply a thin layer of Birds & Berries all over the eyelid, into the crease.
  3. Use Contrast eyeshadow on the outer crease and blend inwards.  This helps blend out the B&B shadow.  Blend in circular stokes making the heaviest application on the outer crease.
  4. Apply liner to the top lashline
  5. Apply one coat of mascara

That’s it!!!!!

Enjoy!

Need a few holiday gift ideas? Sephora's to the rescue!!!

I was just browsing the latest catalog from Sephora and thought that these would make great gifts and stocking stuffers.

This contains their cult favourite, the Urban Decay Primer Potion

Urban Decay Show Pony Shadow Box, $30

Created specially for the holiday season, this is a gooood value,  perfect to throw in your bag for those holiday parties.

Look of the Day: Easy, Soft Pink Look! & Red Cherry lash review

Hey folks!

IMG_2600 text

This is a look that I did earlier this week.  I also used Red Cherry Lashes for the first time.  And they are pretty good and inexpensive!

I heard A LOT about Red Cherry but did not want to order online, and silly me only just discovered Beauty 35 in NYC!  Really it’s a mecca for inexpensive beauty products, hair and makeup supplies.  Anyway, I bought one pair of Red Cherry lashes in #DEL just to test them out.  They cost about $2.99 and they were very thin, wispy and long! They were easy to put in and felt really comfy.  They get a thumbs up from me!

Back to the look!

Eye Primer Review: Too Faced Shadow Insurance vs. Urban Decay Primer Potion

TFSI vs. UDPP

TFSI vs. UDPP

I have been a longtime user of Urban Decay’s Primer Potion (UDPP), but I recently bought the Too Faced Shadow Insurance (TFSI) at Sephora because I wanted to use my V.I.B. coupon.  I have always heard a lot of great things about TFSI and I decided to take the primer plunge.

Off the bat…these are two great, effective products.  There are many similarities between the two.  As mentioned before I have used both of these products with great success.  They basically cost the same amount and possess similar properties.  So are there any differences??? Um…yeh!

Now first, let’s look at the similarities….
