"Whey de lime" Fridays – The World Cup Edition

It’s been four years since my Furia Roja won La Copa Mundial! And for the next month, I will be obsessed with all things fútbol! I am sooooo excited!! Matches started yesterday with Brasil versus Croatia. If you know me, I am a huge fútbol fan, I live for it!!

My pick is that Spain will win it again, but I really want The Netherlands to win. They have had such great teams over the last 20 years and they come up just short! Also I think Portugal is also due as well. Of course Italy and Brasil are right there too! There are such great matchups early on in the tournament. I am also excited to see what the Brazilian people have to offer and how they would be handling the games.

This advert has me pumped! This is a religion!! How many players can you name?

Yes! I am super excited! Ready for some learning and lots of inspiration at The Makeup Show. Can’t wait to see some new lines that are going to be launching soon in the US, include makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury’s line! She did this amazing advert look for the new Viva Glam RiRi lipcolours for 2014.

Whey de lime Fridays (Friday April 11 2014)

It is finally trying to look a little warmer this weekend! Temperatures are no longer sub-zero! Seriously craving some warmth and sunshine!!

Also I was blown away by the announcement that Lupita Nyong’o is Lancome’s latest ambassadress. I look forward to seeing a lot more ads and photos of her! Also check out Lupita’s Marie Claire USA’s cover and launch party.

Finally, MUA Gregory Arlt did this makeup on The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira, and it is amazing!

Super simple look, minimal colour everything is perfect! That skin! His canvas was gorgeous to begin with, but his skills are amazing. This is what I am aiming for as a artist… skin…perfected *off to practice*

What’s going on?? This is my first “Whey de lime” Fridays for 2014!

Despite the brutal cold and way too much snow, I am excited for this weekend, because New York Fashion Week A/W 2014 started yesterday! I love how regardless what the weather is like, fashion aficionados still step out in style for these shows! Once again Lincoln Center is the fashion hub and I cannot wait to see what’s going to be hot in a few months and what colours and makeup trends we need to look out for!
