THE INSPIRATION
“I was inspired by a young Hispanic girl in New York. She’s really confident and likes herself – she doesn’t entertain all the makeup tricks “contour, foundation & powder” she goes straight for a strong lip. This is a sophisticated update on the heavily-lined lip from the 90’s. I played with the color and application on the lips, kept the rest of the face clean and bare, and brushed gloss through her brows to keep it young. It’s beauty with attitude.”

By this time, Carnival in Trinidad & Tobago is in full on beast mode!
This was a very short season, as Carnival came very early this year, so everything was jammed together. There is a whole host of stuff happening between now and Tuesday evening, including Canbouley, Dimarche Gras, Soca Brainwash etc etc….yuh know de ting!

I still can’t believe how fast 2015 flew by! That means it’s time for my favourites! These are the best beauty products for 2015! Here is the list of the products that blew me away and that I was generally quite impressed at for 2015. There is a little bit of everything here…colour, skincare, haircare, and a little more skincare. This year was big for skin. For me it is about maintaining and staving off the aging process. Great skin and skincare takes priority over anything else that you can put on your face or body. Of course my obsession with colour continues, so there is definitely some new products that I discovered that were very well made. I have included some high-end makeup as well as some great drugstore finds!

The year is fast approaching to a close, but this might be the most exciting time of the year! At least in the US, it’s when everyone is going to have massive sales just in time for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas. Many business wait for this time to have their deepest discounts and it is a great time to pick up that high priced item you have been looking at all year. Or this is the time to stock up on all of your favourite hair care products. I usually get the jumbo sized versions of my holy grail products that last me for more than a few months into the new year. I also take advantage of the discounts to do all my Christmas shopping!
