Hey! So I was very excited for a collection of Paint Pots and Mattene lipsticks, as I love both. I really wish that they would expand the permanent Paint Pot line and keep the Mattenes as well.
Anyway, I listed all the items from the collection here. This has been a very popular collection and it’s still available in stores and online. Here is what I got:
I was introduced to Ruby Kisses when I attended the Blogger Preview for The Makeup Show earlier this year. This is a fairly new brand that is sold in beauty supply stores and is an inexpensive brand. I received a few of their products and I have been testing them out ever since.
The first product that I was eager to try out was their Big Lash Mascara.
It’s a lip creme actually! I’m talking about the new Soft Matte Lip Cremes from NYX Cosmetics. This is the last part of my mini haul. These products came out earlier this year and there has been a lot of buzz surrounding these. The Lip Cremes come in packaging similar to the typical lip gloss with matte, rubberized caps and the doe foot applicator. The lip cremes are supposed to be more pigmented than a lip gloss but more moisturizing than a matte lipstick. These come in 11 colours and I paid $4.50 each from beautyjoint.com. What a steal! These products are similar to the Stila Long Wear Liquid Lip Color.
I purchased 3 colours:
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in London, Amsterdam, Monte Carlo
Having spent years in the shadow of the gooey lipgloss, lipsticks have roared back to the forefront and matte lipsticks have been at the centre of the trend! This year, bright, bold matte lips were all over the runway and in every magazine and the trend continues into the autumn/winter. Years ago, dark, vampy, matte lips were routine but they got a bad reputation because they were often very drying, accentuated any cracks in your lips and generally not comfortable. Fast forward to now and the formulas have been revamped. Conditioners have been added to these densely pigmented lip products to make them a lot more wearable.
NYX just recently launched a new line of matte lipsticks in 22 colours. I ordered 2 of them to start wih from beautyjoint.com and I paid $4.99 each.
So, lately I’ve been all about my eyebrows. Typically I get them threaded and I think the eyebrows really frame the face. You could be wearing not a stitch of makeup and still look presentable. And it really makes a difference if you are wearing makeup and your brows are done. I’m not talking highly manicured, just a little grooming is more than enough. I’ve been on the lookout for brow products that complete the look.
Anyway, I recently made a little haul of NYX products on beautyjoint.com. I had never tried this site before, but I saw that a few bloggers had good experiences with them. Plus the fact, they were cheaper than buying off of the NYX website. And shipping was $1, so…..
I wanted to try the NYX Eyebrow Shaper for a while now. Sometimes I just want to hold my brows in place, no filling in, no colour.
